Darcy Higgins, Bruce Strangway
- Minutes of February 19th were reviewed. Dave moved and Bruce seconded
minutes be approved.
- Financial Status.
No expenditures this month.
The city approved $1
000 for this year.
- Denis Rupert Prairie Reserve. David moved that Bruce Strangway become the burn
specialist for next year.
Dave seconded, passed unanimously. A burn is possible for this year.
- BrightÕs Grove Lagoon.
City Council and St. PatrickÕs students will be invited for the
trillium walk.
- Blackwell Road Wildlife Refuge. Work in progress.
- Perch Creek Wildlife Habitat. Bruce will call St. Clair Conservation Authority about
bank stabilization. HeÕll
also try to put native plants in and around the new pond.
- College Park.
Bruce brought the sign which was donated. Name recognition will be placed on a plaque. Money for park sign will be
designated elsewhere.
- Logan Pond Update. Proposal will be given to city to declare
Logan Pond a Wildlife Refuge.
Local residents will be made aware and asked for comments.
- Logo. Will be put
on t-shirts and letterhead.
- Sandcherry Update.
Nothing to report.
- Natureway. Brenda
made a motion to take on the ___ as a committee project. Bruce seconded, passed
unanimously.
- American Chestnut Planting. St. PatrickÕs students will work on potting/planting.
- Suzuki Visit Š Art, Bruce Ballingall, and Darcy will have a
presentation at the event.
T-shirts
Š David moved that we purchase committee t-shirts, hopefully in time for the
Suzuki event; Dave Shortt seconded.
Master
Plan Š will get wildlife area designations done in subcommittee.
- Next meeting April 16th.
