  1. Last month's minutes reviewed, Darcy moved, Brenda seconded that minutes be accepted with clarification in item 9. Passed.  
  2. Logo/brochure: Nikki: a first draft of the brochure was passed around. Response was positive. Changes are needed and will be discussed by subcommittee. The website work is also reported as underway. 
  3. Blackwell Road Wildlife Refuge: Art reported that the city is going ahead on offer for property on northeast side. Art and Nikki to tour property and discuss 'NO UNAUTHORIZED VEHICLE' signs with Terry.
  4. Financial status: Dave Smith reported on these. All is in order. Brenda moved and Bruce seconded that the financial report be accepted. 
  5. Dennis Rupert: Alan reported that the shrubs are marked and a time for cutting will be set sometime in June. Art reported that a meeting with Kathy Doyle of Shell is being set up to discuss further funding of various projects.
  6. Brights Grove Lagoon and Forest; Alan reported that 27 people came to spring tour and everyone enjoyed it despite the wet weather. Art reported that a duck box at the Lagoons has been damaged.  
  7. Perch Creek Wildlife Habitat. Bruce S. toured the property with Donald Craig and obtained an aerial photo from him. Donald noted that some ash trees needed pruning and Bruce volunteered our services. Donald is prepared to support some of our efforts in the Tallgrass Prairie work. Bruce is trying to find some hardwood trees to plant among the softwoods. He is also looking to put in some duck boxes on the property. 
  8. College Park. Bruce plans to circulate a letter to the neighbours about taking care of the park. He has put down chips in the garden, and he presented an estimate for the bench to the committee.
  9. Logan Pond. – Art and Dave Smith are having discussions with the neighbours. Dave suggested interpretive signs be put in at Logan Pond. Art would like a committee picture at the pond. Brenda suggested LAC be consulted, Dave said he would contact them.
  10. Arbor Week/St. Clair Conservation Authority Affiliation: progress is still underway.
  11. Dwarf Sandcherries: Stan presented pictures of cuttings.
  12. New Business: Art said that we've been asked to be present at Hobbyfest. Nikki will be asked to construct poster with pictures. Stan suggested that we should have a record of all purchases, and present prices.
  13. Meeting adjourned – next meeting June 19th.
